A Message from Pastor Dan Ames

Welcome to Peoples United Methodist Church. I am a new pastor appointed by Bishop Peggy Johnson on July 1st. One of my favorite verses in the Bible is John 13:34-35 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. Everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another." These verses have helped me in my walk with Jesus. It reminds me that, as a church, we are all called ministers in the name of Jesus Christ. We all have gifts to share. May we be God's hands, feet, voice, and eyes through all we do and say and be guided by the Holy Spirit. Together, we can transform the world and ourselves inside and out. May we use our gifts to transform the world we live in. May God Bless us in our journey together. My door will always be open for conversation about the loving God we have and the journey we will have together in trying to live out our discipleship and strive to be followers of Christ who must "welcome one another, therefore, as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God" (Rom. 15:7).
